Bernard B. Barber, Jr. Award for Excellence

The Woodwork Institute 's Bernard B. Barber, Jr. Award for Excellence program honors design professionals for projects in which architectural woodwork is a predominant feature. Procedure
Interior or exterior areas are eligible; awards are not limited to any specific category of building nor any specific areas within the structure. Applications may be submitted by any design professional or Woodwork Institute member that was contractually tied to the project; however, project specifications shall have required Certified or Monitored Compliance. Each application must also include two sets of at least six 8" x 10" color prints of the project, an architect/designer's statement, and a woodworker's statement.

All approved entries will be highlighted on the Woodwork Institute's website and within its bi-annual publication, Archetype. Two of the entries will be featured on the cover of Archetype.

Award-winning entries become the property of the Woodwork Institute for unrestricted use. The Woodwork Institute assumes no responsibility for loss of or damage to materials submitted. Applications must be received by May 31 to be considered for that year's awards selection. Entries should be sent to:
